Biography

Masood Al Awar is the Cheif Executive Officer Medallion Associate a real estate investment advisory firm with a global network. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in banking, government and real estate. Al Awar ensures that Medallion efficiently delivers its products and services following the company’s corporate values of accountability, integrity, professionalism, courage, and Innovation.

Al Awar also served prominent real estate firms: Emaar PropertiesTasweek Real Estate Development, Sorouh Real Estate PJSC in Abu Dhabi and Dubai Properties a subsidiary of Dubai Holding where he held executive roles.

He holds the distinction of selling the first freehold property in the UAE and experiencing the full property development life cycle in both emirates. He has worked with various professionals from different nationalities on multi-billion dollar projects that include world-recognized developments. Al Awar also played a key role in the planning of ‘Smart Living City’, the first event that gathered decision-makers, experts and professionals from around the world to discuss and promote the latest technologies and innovations related to smart cities and smart human capital.

Al Awar holds an MBA degree from the UK, and honed his business acumen and financial skills through years of stay with Barclays Bank plc in Dubai. He also held a government position in the Finance Department of Dubai Police. Al Awar has combined both government and private sector experiences to pursue a new real estate investment approach in the UAE. He also has the distortional achievement of beating the six times world champion of Snooker Steve Davis in Dubai in 1990.
